Welcome to AquaTechinc NW

AquaTechnic NW is the only seller/manufacturer worldwide of nylon dielectric pipe reducer bushings.

Dielectric bushings are plumbing connectors designed to prevent corrosion where two different metals meet in a piping system. The most common example is where copper water lines connect to a steel water heater.

Without some form of electrical isolation between these metals, a chemical reaction gradually eats away at the joint, leading to leaks, restricted water flow, and premature pipe failure. Dielectric fittings solve this by placing a non-conductive barrier between the two metals so they never directly touch.

Purpose

  • Fluid Flow Control: They help manage the flow of liquids in various applications, including irrigation and plumbing systems.

  • Corrosion Prevention: By insulating connections between different metal types (like copper and galvanized steel), they reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion, which can occur when dissimilar metals are in contact

Applications

  • Water Systems: Commonly used in plumbing to connect pipes and fittings in water supply systems.

  • Agricultural Use: Effective in irrigation systems to ensure proper fluid transfer without corrosion issues

Corrosion Prevention

Dielectric fittings effectively prevent galvanic corrosion when connecting dissimilar metals, such as copper and galvanized steel. This is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the plumbing system and extending its lifespan.

Electrical Isolation

The bushings introduce an insulating material that electrically isolates the metals, preventing unwanted electrical connections that can lead to corrosion.

Cost Savings

By reducing the risk of corrosion, dielectric fittings can save significant repair costs over time. They help avoid leaks and system failures that can arise from corroded pipes.

Improved System Longevity

Overall, dielectric fittings enhance the durability and efficiency of plumbing systems, ensuring they function optimally for longer periods
